Lots to update

Just a quick update to say that things are getting settled in our new home in Greensboro and that I'm slowly adjusting to the long hours (80 a week!) and to being called Dr Alm (this is Dr Alm returning a page...ack!)! I'm starting my internship on OB so I'm quite busy catching babies! Its pretty fun to deliver babies, though they never come it seems during the day!

Sorry that we haven't updated more recently. With the move, and then having a new box of checks stolen from either our mailbox or in the mail and going through the hassle of filing report after report as the checks get used all over Greensboro we haven't had a lot of spare time. Hopefully we can keep the blog more updated in the next couple of weeks and provide a few new pics of our little cutie and our home as it comes together.

Speaking of the little cutie... he is doing quite well. He's growing like a weed and becoming more and more interactive. He loves to babble up a storm, play in his jumperoo (sometimes he jumps so much we think he might just jump out of it!), roll all over his crib and laugh at us in all of our silliness playing with him. We are very fortunate to have a live in nanny during the week... Ms Kelli Bachstein. She is wonderful and Donny seems to really love her very much. We feel very blessed to have her helping us out. We are also excited to be living close to my best friend from childhood Kelli Staples who has helped us out some too. We couldn't do it without them and our families!

And a quick update on Don... we are super excited because he was granted permission to work from home 3 days/week. It's been nice for him (especially with gas prices) to not have to commute the 60miles one way each day of the week. It's also nice so that he can spend his lunch break with Donny and the birds. Now he only has to make that awful commute 2 days a week so we are very thankful. We feel very blessed.

Alright, back to work! Love you all! Steph :)

Steph - I'm glad to hear that all of you are getting settled in to your new home. The 80 hours/week as Dr. Alm sound grueling, but I'm sure you'll hang in there and gain lots of experience on delivering those babies! It's good to hear that Don can stay at home 3 days/week. That should make him much more rested (someone needs to be rested and your schedule doesn't allow for much rest!) It's obvious that God has blessed your marriage and family in so many ways. I'm sure that you will continue to use the gifts He has blessed you with to give Him glory! Hope to see you soon, but with your hours it may not be until Patrick's wedding???

Sending my love, Pam
